Education Program 1935-1936.

This series is comprised of classroom scenes and photographs of nursery schools administered as a part of the Educational Program component of the Works Progress Administration of Georgia. The material is organized into four subseries; (A) "Adult Education", includes photographs of classes held for the blind, WPA exhibits, and First Aid classes. Subseries B, "Literacy Education" consists of images of adult learning classes. The next group of records, "Nursery Schools" feature photographs of children at nursery centers around the state. The final subseries entitled "Vocational Education" documents the WPA's efforts in training individuals for particular skills such as domestic service, sewing, gardening and cooking.
